Ryan grew up in Heath, TX and graduated from Rockwall High School. He earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University, where he was discovered at the career fair by a current partner, Matt Baacke. Matt explained the benefits of a co-operative education position and how it could help him excel at a career in land development. Ryan started as a co-op student in 2011 and then was offered a full-time position in 2012.
While initially focusing on project design in Phoenix area, Ryan earned his professional engineers license in 2016. Now he manages projects within the DFW market, many of which are located on the east side of the metroplex. With over a decade of experience, Ryan has designed and managed numerous industrial warehouse projects, single-family communities, and mixed-use developments. In 2021 he became the de facto architect to design the interior layout of GMcivil’s new office building but has since retired from the position to focus on civil engineering pursuits. He also maintains the esteemed title of the office handyman, so if he is not at his desk you might find him fixing a door that will not close or changing lights.
Ryan currently lives in Southlake with his wife, Amanda, and two children. When not repairing something that may or may not be broken around the house he enjoys vacationing at the beach, fishing, golfing, and hunting upland birds.
