Abel was born and raised in New Braunfels, TX and graduated from New Braunfels High School. He earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University. After serving a co-op in 2017 and enjoying the benefits of the fast paced and hands on experience GMcivil offered, he worked a combination of remote and in office until the fall of 2018. Upon graduation in December 2018, he began a full time position at GMcivil.
Since starting at GMcivil, Abel has worked on projects in DFW, Memphis and Phoenix markets. He obtained his Professional Engineer license in Texas in 2022. Abel specializes in development of Industrial Warehouses and public infrastructure. He has also accumulated significant experience performing hydrologic and hydraulic analysis for residential, commercial, and industrial developments . His understanding of H&H gives him a unique perspective when planning and designing developments.
Abel currently lives in Fort Worth with his wife, Cassidy, and two dogs. His favorite activities when forced to take a break from engineering are watching any combination of Texans, Spurs, and Aggie games, snowboarding, and losing golf balls.
