Eddie was raised in the DFW area before attending the University of Oklahoma and obtaining a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering in 1996. He returned to DFW and joined GMcivil in 1996, obtained his P.E. in 2001 and has been a Principal since 2003. He has over 28 years of experience in large-scale residential and industrial subdivision design and project management. He performed master water, sewer, drainage and traffic studies, and designed regional water distribution and wastewater collection systems, as well as regional thoroughfares early in his career. He has served as an advisor to several local municipalities, including: the City of Fort Worth Drainage Review Committee, the City of Keller Unified Development Code Review Committee and the City of Mesquite Engineering Standards Update Review Committee.
He is currently responsible for overseeing the Dallas/Fort Worth operations of GMcivil as well as focusing on the company’s growth and development. Additionally, Eddie oversees the day-to-day operations and manages the company’s finances but he also enjoys the interaction he has with clients and the relationship that he has with his partners and employees at GMcivil.
Outside of the office, Eddie and his wife Toni enjoy traveling now that their three young adult children are in college or have recently graduated from college. Their favorite time of the year is summer when they can spend their weekends out at their house on Possum Kingdom Lake with their kids. Eddie’s hobbies include spending time at casinos, golfing, snow skiing, wake surfing, and scuba diving as well as being an avid cook on the grill or smoker. He is also secretly a raging pyromaniac setting off fireworks at the lake any chance he gets. He is a passionate OU sports fan, but also keeps up with his favorite DFW teams, the Mavs, Stars, and Rangers, and will stomach cheering on the Cowboys from time to time.
