Jason Weaver, P.E.

Principal

Originally from Boerne, Texas, Jason started his career with GMcivil in January of 1996 as the first co-operative education student in the firm’s history. After graduating from Texas A&M with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, he joined GMcivil full-time in January of 1999 and obtained his professional engineering license in 2003. For the last 26 years, Jason has been responsible for designing and managing master-planned residential communities, industrial parks, and commercial developments throughout DFW, Phoenix, Memphis/Northern Mississippi, and Nashville. He oversees the Memphis/Northern Mississippi/Nashville markets for GMcivil, which is primarily focused on industrial warehouse development. Land development really appeals to Jason, as each project is unique and provides new challenges and opportunities to apply his skills, along with achieving the sense of pride from seeing a project through from raw land to completed construction. Jason takes providing service to our clients very personally and always strives to be accountable and reliable.

Jason and his wife Shelly live in Lantana and enjoy the empty nester lifestyle, as their four combined children are currently attending college or have graduated to the real world. In his free time, Jason enjoys a good bourbon, playing as much golf as he can, bird hunting, spending time with Shelly listening to live music, two-stepping and traveling together. Jason also has a blast around friends whether that be on the back porch, around the fire pit, or at the duck camp with buddies passing the guitar and singing. Like most others in the office, Jason is a huge college sports fan and is a passionate Aggie. He is especially excited to be able to smack talk and place friendly wagers once again with his sooner and shorthorn buddies now that the band is back together in the glorious SEC!
